Five Down Four to Go!

We are over the halfway mark on our foster parenting classes! YAY! Four more Tuesday nights and then, Lord willing, we will be on the list to accept a child. Between now and March 23rd (the night of our last class) we have 3 in home meetings with the foster licensing lady, 1 home inspection, 1 Drug Exposed Infant class and need to get our adoption application completed and submitted. The first of the 3 licensing meetings is on Thursday and our inspection is on Monday, so those two things will be crossed off our list soon. The application is mostly completed, it was a whole lot easier than the foster application, we just need to sit down and finish it. I feel like we are in the home stretch, but I know that once we complete all of our duties it gets harder. The waiting begins. It might sound crazy, but atleast when we are having the meetings and filling out paperwork, we feel like we are doing something, but when that is behind us and we just wait, it gets hard. Prior to starting with the county's foster program we had been in waiting mode for over a year with our other agency. I have been too afraid to ask what wait times look like, and really it is silly to ask because there are no guarantees that it will follow what they say anyway. So we will wait patiently, knowing that the Lord is in control and His timing is perfect!
